The AngioVac system is the first thrombus aspiration device that simultaneously reinfuses filtered blood back into the patient’s body. It provides surgical results via percutaneous access to minimize blood loss.

How it works

The AngioVac System consists of two components: the AngioVac cannula and the AngioVac circuit.

  • The AngioVac cannula is designed for use during extracorporeal bypass for up to six hours. It can either serve as a drainage cannula or as a device to remove fresh, soft thrombi or emboli. (Available with 20- or 180-degree angled tip.)
  • The AngioVac circuit serves to reinfuse blood that has been aspirated with the AngioVac cannula back into the patient’s body simultaneously.
