Unlike any other hemostatic product available, WoundClot™ has multiple mechanisms of action. When the cellulosic structure contacts blood, it converts into an expanding gel adhering to wound surfaces. WoundClot™ will absorb up to 2,500 % of its weight in fluid and remains actively absorbent for up to 24 hours. For Hemodialysis patients, this means that it takes up to 50 % less time to close the shunt after each session.
