WoundClot™ Surgical

WoundClot™ Surgical is a bioabsorbable CE Class III implantable hemostatic gauze designed for use during surgery. It has proven highly effective in managing capillary, venous, and arterial bleeding. The gauze works on multiple tissue types and complex wounds (including blood vessels, internal organs, bones, and skin). 

How it works

WoundClot™ Surgical has the fastest resorption profile on any hemostatic available thus far: 7-14 days on average (vs. 40+ days with other surgical hemostatics). When applied, it rapidly changes from a dry gauze to an expanding 3D gel matrix. 

  1. Absorption
    WoundClot™ Surgical absorbs up to 25 times of its weight in blood while remaining actively absorbent for up to 24 hours.
  2. Aggregation
    The 3D gel matrix promotes the creation of an environment conducive to clotting.
  3. Adhesion
    The 3D gel matrix will not be dislodged by movement, wound manipulation, or high-pressure bleeding.
  4. Activation
    Advanced functional molecular groups stimulate the coagulation process to achieve rapid and stable hemostasis. 
Special features
